The Philadelphia Music Alliance (PMA) welcomes The Roots, Billie Holiday, Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, Cinderella, The Trammps, Andrea McArdle, and WOGL FM air personality Harvey Holiday to the Philadelphia Walk of Fame on October 26th, 2015. Between the honorees, they share sixteen (16) The GRAMMYs Awards and one (1) Tony Awards nominations.
Alongside these honorees, the PMA will be honoring Frank Giordano with the distinguished Platinum Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Philadelphia Music Community and the CAPA Foundation is receiving the Educational Award for Outstanding Excellence in Arts and Music.
Following the induction ceremony, a gala will be held at 6pm at Live Nation’s Fillmore, hosted by Saturday Night Live’s world-famous comedian and actor, Joe Piscopo!
This year’s honorees will be celebrated twice in one day!
They will be formally inducted on October 26th, 2015 during afternoon ceremonies along the Avenue of the Arts at 11:45 am and again will be celebrated that evening, starting at 6 pm, with a special grand gala event at the Fillmore Philadelphia with special guest performances!
